Steelers Shake Off Rust To Defeat Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently in the midst of a very important three game stretch against their AFC North Division foes.  After defeating the Cincinnati Bengals two weeks ago, and having a bye week, they welcomed the Cleveland Browns to Heinz Field today.  These two teams faced off in week one of the NFL season and played to a tie.  Pittsburgh knew that a tie or a loss would put a big dent in their division title hopes, so they came to play today.

The first quarter of the game belonged to Cleveland, but the Steelers defense was able to hold them to just two field goals and ended the quarter down six points.  The offense of Pittsburgh was sputtering during this quarter and looked like they hadn’t touched a football in over two weeks...

Ravens Beat Steelers 26-14

After winning their game of the season last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Pittsburgh Steelers returned home for a huge AFC North matchup against the rival Baltimore Ravens at Heinz Field.  In what is sure to be a highly competitive division this year, tonight’s game was a huge early season opportunity for both of these teams.  Unfortunately, the Ravens played a complete game on all sides of the ball, beating the Steelers by a 26-14 score.

Baltimore built a big lead early, responded to the adversity of a Pittsburgh comeback, and steadily built another lead that the Steelers couldn’t’ recover from to earn the victory.

The Ravens got off to a fantastic start tonight, putting the Steelers in a big hole early on much to the disdain of the Heinz Field crowd...

Steelers Clinch Division With Nail Biting Win

There is no explanation for how the Pittsburgh Steelers have managed to rack up an eight-game winning streak this year.  Each week they seem to be on the verge of defeat, only to grab on to victory in the final seconds.  Tonight’s game against the Baltimore Ravens was no different.  Games with these two teams are tense enough, but tonight is near the top of the list.

Pittsburgh was able to jump out to a 14-point lead and looked to be in control of the game.  Ben Roethlisberger, who would throw for 506 yards tonight, threw a 20yd touchdown pass to Le’Veon Bell for the first score.  Bell would then run for a 1yd touchdown for the second.  Baltimore would cut that lead in half on a touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to Chris Moore.

The man who should be team MVP this year, Chris Boswell

Bell, Steelers Beat Chiefs 19-13

Coming off one of the more disappointing performances in recent memory, the Pittsburgh Steelers hit the field on Sunday for their toughest opponent of the season thus far.  The Kansas City Chiefs entered play with a perfect 5-0 record, and the Steelers were looking to rebound off an embarrassing loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.

On Sunday, the Steelers got back to what makes them potentially one of the best teams in the NFL, utilizing the run to set up play action, and they outlasted a late Chiefs comeback to hold on for a 19-13 victory.

Le’Veon Bell dominated this game, just as he did in the Steelers’ playoff victory at Arrowhead Stadium last year.  Bell rushed for 179 yards on 32 carries and one touchdown.  Ben Roethlisberger, while still not as sharp as we are accustome...

Roethlisberger Career Worst 5 INT’s vs. Jaguars

During this past offseason Ben Roethlisberger had mentioned how he thought about retirement.  Fans were hoping he had one more year left in him to quarterback what looked like a very explosive offense.  Even the holdout of Le’Veon Bell during training camp could not dampen the spirt of fans for the upcoming season.

After last week’s win over the Baltimore Ravens, it appeared that the Pittsburgh Steelers had finally found the right blend of offense and defense to make a serious run at a seventh Super Bowl title, even with the temper tantrum of Antonio Brown.  That all changed today after another lackluster performance from that so called explosive offense.  This is not the first time that the offense has looked bad, as they had trouble moving the ball for most of the season.
