Bucco Beat – April 29, 2012

It’s Sunday night…time for another edition of Bucco Beat, the podcast dedicated to delivering recaps and reactions to the latest Pittsburgh Pirates news from the past week to you, the FANS FROM THE STANDS!

This week, the FFTS guys are on the road, broadcasting from Durham, North Carolina, and they were at Turner Field in Atlanta for the Pirates’ victory on Saturday night.  They discuss the Pirates’ last week of baseball, including a series victory over the Colorado Rockies at PNC Park and the first three games of their series against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field.

They look at the offensive improvements of Pedro Alvarez and Jose Tabata, the continued strong starting pitching, as well as the disappointing Aprils of Clint Barmes and Rod Barajas.

There’s also a look at the N.L. Central standings, a look ahead to the Pirates next week of baseball, as well a special road trip edition of Ask Zane Anything!
