Bucco Beat – July 8, 2012

Ok, who are these guys on the field at PNC Park and what have they done with the Pittsburgh Pirates we’ve come to know in recent years?

The Pirates are 48-37, the first time they’ve been 11 games over .500 since 1992.  They’re in first place in the N.L. Central division at the All Star break for the first time since 1997.

In this week’s podcast, the FFTS guys recap the Bucs’ recent 6-1 home stand against the Houston Astros and San Francisco Giants.  They look at the standout starting pitching of A.J. Burnett and James McDonald, as well as Andrew McCutchen’s MVP first half, as well as the hot-hitting Neil Walker.

There’s an in-depth look at the N.L. Central standings, a look ahead to the All Star Game festivities in Kansas City, and a brand new Ask Zane Anything segment.

Enjoy this week’s podcast…and stay close to FFTS for updates and latest Bucco news all week.

As Always…

Let’s Go Bucs!
