The Pirates completed their first sweep of the season, defeating the Chicago Cubs in three consecutive games this weekend to pull within one game of the .500 mark.
Andrew McCutchen and Pedro Alvarez led the charge today on offense, while Erik Bedard was once again solid on the mound. The bullpen, despite the hiccup this afternoon, has been stingy all season. The FFTS guys discuss the Pirates’ home stand so far, while also looking ahead to the upcoming series against the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers.
