Steelers Freefall Continues In Blowout Loss To Colts

Following losses to the Arizona Cardinals and the New England Patriots on their home field the past two weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers took the field on Saturday afternoon in a must-win situation against the Indianapolis Colts.

Unfortunately for Steelers’ fans, it was more of the same we have seen over the course of a difficult season, as Pittsburgh was out-classed and out-hustled on all sides of the ball, falling to the Colts by a 30-13 score.

The Steelers built an early 13-0 lead before the Colts dominated on all sides of the ball – offense, defense, and special teams – on their way to an easy 30-13 victory.

We could go into the specifics about who threw for what yards and who scored what touchdowns, but it doesn’t really matter.  The bottom line is that the Steelers will not be a legitimate contender this season.  They are not good enough on offense.  They are not good enough on defense.  And this teams repeatedly gets out-coached week after week. Yes, contrary to what the national media claims to be true, Mike Tomlin needs to leave this organization.  He is not the coach of the future for this team, and as they continue to lose week after week, it becomes more evident that change is needed from top to bottom.

With the loss, the Steelers saw their playoff chances dwindle to a minimal percentage.  Three weeks ago, this team was 7-4 and looked all but a lock for postseason play…and now, reality has set in, and we all realize just how far this team is from being a legitimate playoff contender.

The Steelers will take the field next week against the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium in what should be considered an elimination game.

Overall Record: 7-7
